The Ballad of Jimmy O’Reilly
It’s hard to make believe every day. I’m thinking about that a lot today. I suppose turning 100 will do that to a man.
But I have a secret, an inspiration, a guiding hand, and it’s been with me since the tragedy that fell across my path when I was 12 years old. It has always been there, like a person behind a sheer curtain blowing in the wind, never distinct and always on the verge of disappearing.
It’s a story that has shaped my being, who I am, who I believe I am at least, and has given me the confidence to try, and the strength to carry on, when the path seemed lost. It is a story of reality, a story that proves that we don’t see the world as it is, we see it as we are.
Perhaps it’s time to tell that story …

The Rise of the Morning Star
A GRIEVING FATHER. A MURDERED DAUGHTER. A LOVER WITH SECRETS. AND A MYTH RISING IN BLOOD.
When a former special operations soldier discovers a classified case file in his partner Felicity’s apartment, memories he buried in war and whiskey roar back to life. But Felicity isn’t just a high-powered attorney—she’s entangled in an ancient, covert war orchestrated by a secret order of women known as the Horsewomen. And they want him back in the game.
Haunted by visions, hunted by assassins, and driven by a rage he can no longer suppress, he’s thrust into a world where power flows through ritual, revenge is currency, and death is only the beginning. As cities burn and old gods whisper through bloodied
dreams, one truth remains: some wars are personal.
And some enemies are divine.
The Horsewomen: The Rise of the Morning Star is a visceral fusion of psychological torment, apocalyptic prophecy, and brutal action—a mythic revenge thriller where grief becomes a weapon, and love can ignite the end of days.
About the Author
ADAM “MONSTER” DARNLEY-STUART is an Australian author and former Special Operations leader whose writing explores the blurred lines between duty, desire, and the unseen forces that shape human destiny. His fiction blends the raw authenticity of lived experience with poetic reflection, creating worlds where conflict, love, and moral ambiguity collide.
Drawing from years spent in intelligence and military operations, Adam writes with the precision of a strategist and the heart of a storyteller. His work examines how people break, rebuild, and search for meaning in the aftermath of violence, where courage and conscience often stand on opposite sides of the same battlefield.
When he’s not writing, Adam leads creative projects through Redwood Group, a company dedicated to truth, influence, and resilience.

and other approaches for addressing domestic violence
The “no” test is simple. A man passes it if he graciously accepts “no” from his partner. If he attempts to persuade her to change her mind, he fails.
This book will be of interest to anybody who is concerned about the problem of domestic violence.
The man who is abusive and the woman who suffers the abuse are often misrepresented. The “No” test provides alternatives to these misrepresentations so that a man can be held accountable for all his actions and a woman’s ever present resistance to oppression is recognised.
The “No” test is also a resource for those in the helping professions with discussions on the ethics of practice, exploring the importance of language and a chapter on the crafting of questions – the all important key to therapeutic conversations.
Finally, the ideas are demonstrated in practice in therapeutic conversations with four composite individuals, two of whom are a married couple. The four represent the diverse individuals the authors have encountered in many years of practice.
The book aims to expose how the problem of domestic violence is perpetuated by its frequent misrepresentations and in so doing provide a better understanding of domestic violence for the benefit of all.
Includes therapeutic conversations with individuals to illustrate the book’s core concepts.
