The Spirit of the Antichrist is in the Church

The Word of God is the light to see and discern between the wolves and the sheep.

The Bible warns in second Thessalonians chapter 2:1-11 about the events surrounding the second coming of Christ that we are not to be shaken in mind or troubled in spirit but to be careful of deception. It details the deceit, the falling away, and the revelation of the lawless one.

It also mentions that the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. This mystery is the spirit of the antichrist cited in first John 4:1-6, manifested in opposing ideologies to the biblical worldview introduced into the church by persons, i.e., wolves in sheep’s clothing, who personify this spirit.
This book is meant to edify the body of Christ on how to discern the spirit of error and her schemes by emphasising the importance of the Word of God and His glory.

His Last Letter

IN THE FACE OF WAR, WILL THEIR LOVE AND LETTERS BE ENOUGH TO BRING THEM HOME?

When the announcement came over the radio, Jack Sullivan knew his brothers wouldn’t hesitate to enlist in becoming soldiers.

It was 1939 and all young Australians were encouraged to fight for their country.

But Jack wanted to enlist too. He wanted to fight alongside his brothers, and his mates. The only regret for him was leaving his wife and young son, Charlie. But he knew his mother would support her whilst he was away.

Lizzie Lewis heard the news on the radio too, and her heart sank when her brother Donald announced that he too was enlisting. She only hoped he stayed safe. She had seen enough young men return from overseas, wounded, working as a nurse.

She just didn’t want to have to look after her own brother in one of the wards.

Not one to shirk his responsibilities, Bert Miller, chose to head overseas with the others, only he wanted to tell the stories from the front lines. He wanted to be a war reporter, enlighten the public with the real stories of war. The tales he heard from the soldiers.

In a time where the only communication was hand written letters, these three young people wait patiently for news from loved ones. What will their letters tell them? What will they write in return?

And where will their journey abroad take them? As they navigate the perils of war, will they fall in love and survive, to at least return home?

Or will the last letter posted be his last letter ever?

About the Author

My love for reading began at an early age. I would often spend an afternoon with my head in a book, especially when we were travelling in the car, much to my parents’ annoyance, because I should have been looking out a window.

But a good story transports you into another world, and so grew my love of reading.

My love of writing, however, began when I won a short story competition at school and the story was printed in the local newspaper. This has been my first and only published story, until now, I hope.

Writing and creating characters and their stories is an intriguing concept. You want to create a world that sucks the reader in so deeply that it has them wanting to read further so much that it’s hard to put the book down. That’s what I aspire to: a book that has to be read right now until the end, one you don’t want to put down.

A Treasure to the Service

The Historical Memoirs and a Biography of Admiral Sir Richard Goodwin Keats.

Built around a hand-written memoir this work examines the career, life and character of Nelson’s favourite captain who remains a neglected star of the Age of Sail.

An active career in the Royal Navy spanning the American and French Wars saw Keats showcasing his skills as one of the most talented sea officers of his generation.

Possessing a touch for navigation in difficult waters, topped with a degree of daring and incomparable seamanship, Keats was sure to prove himself at sea: whether in a frigate squadron, as captain of a ship of the line or a flag officer, but showed himself equally capable as a diplomat, as Governor and Commander-in-Chief of Newfoundland and for many years Governor and one of the Commissioners of the Royal Hospital Greenwich.

About the Author

Peter Hannah is a lawyer and amateur historian with a family connection to Admiral Keats and an interest in the Age of Sail. He has previously contributed to works in the law and maritime heritage. A project to transcribe a handwritten memoir of the Admiral’s naval career led to further investigation and to a more significant undertaking examining the totality of his career and seeking a more detailed understanding of the character of Nelson’s favourite captain.
