About the Author

 

Jasmine H. Graetz lives in Adelaide, South Australia with her husband and their two beautiful Australian Shepherds. Discovering she was dyslexic and neurodivergent later in life, Jasmine began writing The Crossford Academy Chronicles during work breaks to prove to herself that she could pursue her passion and write a novel.

She wrote Drakorian Whispers in honour of her mother who passed away when Jasmine was sixteen. 

While set in a fantasy world, the story carries pieces of her real life within it. The character Zael is inspired by her husband and the beginnings of their love story. Merida was inspired by her mother’s memory, while Balto was created in loving memory of their Maltese-Shih Tzu, Scooter.

A lifelong lover of fantasy, Jasmine grew up inspired by Disney, Pixar, DreamWorks, and stories such as Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. Her passion for dragons and magical worlds helped shape the world of Drakorian Whispers.When she is not writing, Jasmine enjoys snuggling up with her dogs whilst reading, walking her dogs, spending time with friends and family, and relaxing at the beach on warm summer days.

Drakorian Whispers is her debut novel and the first instalment of The Crossford Academy Chronicles.

About the Author

 

GREG WYTHES is a long-term resident of the northern Illawarra. He has been an English teacher in local high schools, as well as teaching yoga, qigong, massage and bodywork in local colleges and studios. For much of his time in schools he dabbled in music, working with in-school bands, as well as for drama, dance and musical performances, mainly in the area of live production.

He is particularly attracted to the geography of the northern Illawarra: the dozen or more bays and beaches, the steep rise of the escarpment to the west and the bushland that reaches down to the edge of most suburbs. It’s a unique environment: one where the natural world virtually surrounds the urban world. He enjoys spending time in that natural world.

Zack Ferguson was born and raised in Perth, Western Australia where he lives with his family. He is an ideas man with a bizarre sense of humour and a love for creativity, music, and potentially voice acting. He is also a drummer, playing since he was six years old, and a part-time mash-up artist on YouTube and Instagram, who spends way too long perfecting his craft. In his early years he enjoyed creating games on a website called Scratch, but eventually realised that he was much more interested in telling the stories he made for them. Zack’s love for storytelling and creative writing grew throughout high school, where he finally found inspiration in his final year to put pen to paper to write his first novel: The Billionaire’s Club.
