My Dear Friends

My Dear Friends is a children’s book promoting friendship through the celebration of cultural diversity. It teaches inclusiveness through recognising shared interests and similarities.

A young deer named Jack only wants to invite other deer to his birthday party as he feels animals that look and sound different to him would not have any shared interests. With some encouragement from his mother he embarks on a journey to make some new dear friends.

Will Jack discover he and the other animals may have more in common than he first thought?

About the Author

Tamsin Macaffer is a mum of two (soon to be three) and first-time author of children’s book My Dear Friends.

Tamsin wrote My Dear Friends three years ago after having her first daughter, Sahara. As a mother, Tamsin wants to promote positive messages such as inclusiveness, acceptance and friendship to her children in a fun way that children not only understand but are excited by.

So, what better way than creating a story with fun, interactive animal characters that she could read to her children before bed!

It wasn’t until having her second daughter, Mila, and seeing how much both her daughters loved the book that Tamsin decided to have My Dear Friends published so that its important message can be shared with other young kids.

Hi, My Name is Angus – What’s Your Name?

Every family enjoys spending a day at the park and the Harrisons are no exception.

Sharing this experience with Alec and Nicole Harrison is Angus, a West Highland White Terrier. He’s their beloved pet.

Follow the Harrisons on this adventurous day as they travel to the little playground.

About the Author

Having owned a “Westie”, I have experienced the joy and pleasure of owning this magnificent breed. So I decided to write about mine and my family’s stories of our Angus and the adventures we all enjoyed

Terrier Publishing was created with a passion for West Highland White Terriers.

My vision for Terrier Publishing is to create a series of books with brand new adventures.

Writing these lovely illustrated childrens books reminds me of all the fun times we had together. My first book, Hi My Name is Angus, What’s Your Name, puts together a story of fun – an adventure we spent as a family and one that includes the many friends that Angus met along the way.

The next book in the series is Hi My Name is Angus, What’s Your Name – Angus’s Beach Adventure.

This takes the Harrison’s on a trip to their local beach and as always Angus gets up to some fun adventures of his very own.

Then the final book in the series is called Hi My Name is Angus, What’s Your Name – Angus Visits Nanna and Poppa’s Farm.

This takes the Harrison’s to visit Mrs Harrison’s Mum and Dad, who live on a large farm near Victor Harbor. There Angus has an exciting time, playing and meeting his old farm animal friend and making new friends along the way.

With Angus there were always days filled with excitement and fun, He’s the inspiration that has helped me create and capture my wonderful memories and deliver these amazing illustrated childrens books to you and your family. You can share the adventures of Angus with children and generations to come.

I hope that these books give you and everyone you love, the opportunity to enjoy and read together. Its been a joy for me creating these beautiful stories that are part of my time spend with my wonderful Angus.

Children of the Wild

“A boy visits a wild island where he finds children living amongst nature. He is fascinated by their lives and as he spends time with them his own views on life begin to change. Based on Kangaroo Island in South Australia and whimsically illustrated by a local artist this book is one to be treasured for generations.”

Written by Becky Westbrook
Illustrated by Suzanne Trethewey

About the Author

I grew up on Kangaroo Island in South Australia. I was raised hiking, camping, swimming, bodyboarding, and travelling in natural environments. I grew up side by side with a pet kangaroo, who was free to roam as she pleased as all wild animals should. As a child I felt a great connection to wild places and the wild life that live there. As an adult and a mother of three wildings of my own, I feel it is my calling in life to encourage all children to love our wild places so that they grow up protecting them. You will only protect what you love. I have always loved writing stories throughout my life, and I have only realised through becoming a mother that my stories are my way of spreading the message to the next generations that our wild places are fundamental to our existence as humans and they must be protected at all costs. My one wish is that there will always be wild places for humans to visit and be in awe of and for all other species to exist as they always have.
