Everyday Wisdom for a Meaningful Life
Things I wish I knew when I was younger
Everyday Wisdom for a Meaningful Life explores the questions we all quietly carry: What truly matters?
How do we love better, choose wisely, raise grounded children, build strong relationships, and define success on our own terms?
Through honest reflections and lived experience, this book offers simple, practical insights that help readers slow down, think deeper, and navigate life with more awareness, kindness, and courage. Unlike traditional self-help, this book is grounded in real moments, and explores topics like motherhood and migration to relationships, mistakes, resilience, and rediscovered perspective.
Written by a woman who has lived many roles, these lessons come not from theory, but from life itself. With warmth and humility, she shares what she wishes she’d known earlier, making this a comforting, relatable guide for anyone seeking clarity, balance, and meaning in everyday life.
About the Author
AT 47 YEARS OLD, Donna is a wife, mum, step-mum, daughter, sister, and auntie. Throughout her life, she’s always believed in the power of listening to others, to their experiences, and to those who’ve walked the road before her. She’s learned that wisdom doesn’t always come from books or classrooms. Sometimes, it comes from simple conversations, from observing, or even from sitting quietly with someone who’s been through more than you.
Donna has made her fair share of mistakes, and has also had moments she is deeply proud of. Both have shaped who she is today. This book reflects those lessons; things she’s lived through, things she’s heard, and things she wishes she’d known earlier. Her hope is that these reflections help you pause, think, and maybe see your own story a little more clearly.
